As you know, Ruthie Davis is one of my two absolute favourite shoe designers in the world. And her Fall 2012 Collection is so fierce. Let’s take a look at the best of this Fall Collection.
My favourite of the collection is Bond, which comes in either Rosegold or Black Glitter. These peep-toe pumps are quite the flashy, especially in Rosegold. Most of the body is a condensed glitter body; on the Rosegold version, the platform and back panel are patent leather with various spikes and studs, and finished with a sleek roseblush heel; whereas the Black Glitter has black leather for the platform and panel, and a stud-ified heel to finish. They are both a fierce heel, perfect for a show-stopping outfit!
Next is Thompson, available in Rosegold or Black Gunmetal. They are the ultra female version of the loafers, with a full leather finish, and spiked studs around the tongue. Thompson is perfect for the office, taking your fashion up by a whole level. They’re a comfy and sophisticated shoe. Kelly Osbourne has worn the Rosegold Thompson with an orange jumpsuit suit and an updo, showing that sophisticated fashion isn’t just for the office.
Linden is a very classy and on-trend shoe, available in three styles: Black Nickel, Tomato or Tan Gold. A rounded platform, high heel and a pointed toe, Linden boasts a two-shade style with an ankle cuff. The Black Nickel is a black leather body with silver patent heel; Tomato is clementine bodied and tomato red heeled, all in full leather; and Tan Gold is a tan body with gold patent heel. The cuff matches its body colour, and spiked studs along the cuff are available on Black Nickel and Tan Gold. Model Coco Rocha has recently been styled in Tan Gold Linden for the Christian D. Larson & Deniss Basso 2012 Collection ad campaign, teamed with a glitter embellished pale pink tutu dress.
And lastly here is Popsicle. This multicoloured pump does exactly what it should: make any outfit POP! In this year’s Fall Collection, Ruthie Davis has designed four new version: Black, Tan, Clementine and Croc Tan Multi. The first three are full-leather and leather-bodied with at least one patent panel, whereas Croc Tan is full-patent and has a crocodile-print body and a cork-like heel. The platforms are also peep-toe, colourful and girly. My personal favourite is the Black Popsicle, so ladies, take your pick!
