Best Dressed at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards 2013

The annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards ceremony on Monday night is one of the best for all television actors & actresses alike. The red carpet showcased some of the best dress choices I’ve seen this month, and it’s only June 12th! Congratulations to all the winners on the night too, especially my beloved ‘The Big Bang Theory’ show & cast members. Read on for Killer Fashion’s Best Dressed ladies.

White, Silver & Gold

My beloved Kaley Cuoco looked fabulous in a customized white tea dress by Paule Ka from the Black Carpet 2013 Collection. The organza dress has a frilly-like texture and features floral embellishment made of mirror pieces atop the black silk bodice panel and is finished with a silk band on the waist. Kaley wore ‘Anouk’ pointed pumps in black patent and held ‘Ciggy’, a black leather clutch with rhinestones, both by Jimmy Choo. Her hair was sideswept with a diamante hairclip, fresh-faced makeup and pink nude lippy to finish. Kaley also won Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy for her role in ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

Kaley’s costar Melissa Rauch wore a gunmetal grey lace dress, donning Dolce & Gabbana on the night. Her strapless sweetheart neckline was complimented by the short cut of the dress, just above the knee. The dress sat perfectly on Melissa’s curvaceous body, and she teamed the grey with silver crisscross peeptoe heels. Smokey eyes, pink lippy and a chic updo completed her look.

Cat Deeley graced the red carpet too, in a wondrous Monique Lhuillier gown. Her gold embroidered and sculpted gown features two different types of sequin embroidery: vertical lined and swirl-like lines, the former on separate panels and the capped shoulders. A shiny gold clutch, wavy hair and an orange lipstick finished the look.

Lady In Black

Judy Greer struck a pose in a cute Nicole Miller Fall 2013 floral printed dress with black sheer panels. I love this whole, its classy yet sexy and not over the top. The actress teamed her dress with an Alexander McQueen knuckleduster long box clutch in black leather with Brian Atwood ‘Wagner’ peeptoe patent pumps in black. Simple earrings and a sleek chic hair bun completed the look.

Abigail Spencer wore a strapless Mendel Pre-Fall 2013 gown, with a sweetheart neckline and a slight bustier feature. The dress also had an abstract print and featured a pleated sash from the middle of the bust down to the hem. Abigail styled the dress with a thin black patent belt on the waist, an Amanda Pearl roll clutch in black duchess satin featuring a gem closure featuring a sodalite cabochon, Jacobs & Co. jewellery and black pointed pumps.

Actress Malin Åkerman also attended, looking cute in an Azzaro Pre-Fall 2013 cocktail dress. The mini number features beaded lines that create diamond-shaped illusions, complimenting the black shift dress. Malin kept things ‘all black everything’ with Giuseppe Zanotti strappy sandals. Fresh faced make up with black eyeliner and voluminous blonde locks finished her look.

Jennifer Carpenter wowed in her LBD, donning Vera Wang Fall 2013 on the night. Made of embroidered-like textured material, the top ha was of silver & black colour and the rest was black. The silver & black section was divided by a wide-v panel, and the skirt also featured a bubble peplum skirting from the waist. I’m very glad Jennifer didn’t opt for the leather gloves à la the runway look. She styled the look with black clutch that features a fully embellished border and simple black sandals. Smokey cat eye make up and a half-up half-down hairdo finished the look.

Bright & Beautiful

Regina King attended the ceremony wearing a bright coral orange Oday Shakar Spring/Summer 2013 look. Her dress was a fully beaded long-sleeved cocktail dress with a wide boat neckline, which showed her figure very well. She styled her summery look with an Amanda Pearl roll clutch, the same as Abigail Spencer, but in pewter grey. Nude pointed pumps, a John Hardy ‘Bede’ ring, Swarovski earrings and a turquoise green manicure to finish.

Emmy Rossum looked wonderful in her evening’s choice, Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2013. Her red floor-length column gown features a low square neckline and an open back, and is fully decorated with ruby chevron beads. Luscious shiny brunette sideswept hair showed off her Norman Silverman earrings. Emmy also opted for ruby red lipstick.

Actress Lizzy Caplan donned a cute coral coloured tea dress by Oscar de la Renta. Her strapless dress has a low sweetheart neckline with asymmetrical ruffle detail and a flower adorned waistbelt. Her styling was down to a tee, with a Jimmy Choo ‘Cayla’ clutch, featuring colourful rhinestones, and Bionda Castana strappy sandals in patent nude. Lizzy kept her hair & make up simple.

Summer colours continued with Caitlin Fitzgerald wearing a canary yellow gown by IZMAYLOVA Spring 2013. Her strapless floor-length bright number was structured at the bustier, with a slight asymmetrical cut, whereas the skirt was simple and straight, with a thigh-high split. Chunky gold bracelets, a cream & snakeskin clutch and black sandals completed the look.

Maria Menounos donned a blue number, wearing a Notte by Marchesa gown, one of my favourite designers. Her teal blue choice is a straight bodice silhouette gown, with a beautiful embroidered statement neckline on sheer material. Minimal Dana Rebecca Designs earrings, smokey eyes and a half-up half-down bouffant hairstyle finished the look.
