Easter Fashion

This weekend is Easter weekend, and for me it’s all about family. So wearing appropriate outfits for lunch and dinner is a big thing for me, especially to the annual 1916 Easter Rising Commemoration Ceremonies here in Dublin. This year I’m opting for pastels and floral prints, because what better time to embrace the Spring season that Easter! To help you be inspired, take a look at my favourite picks in pink, blue, yellow, orange and mint, that you can easily wear with contrasting black or complimentary white. I’ve got Ted Baker, Oasis, TFNC at House of Fraser and River Island lined up for all your pastel needs.

Pink

I love to wear pink and these high street buys are perfect for looking “pretty in pink” all day long. If you want to dare to wear pink from head to toe, then look to coordinating different shades & textures. Do throw in some contrasting black for good measure, be it eyeliner or accessories and you’re all ready to go.

Blue

Blue is a great colour all year round, and these picks can be worn with ease. Choose the tops and you can wear your favourite blue jeans, or go for it and wear them with white jeans. The jumpsuit is the perfect comfort piece, wear with heels or Cons, a blazer or biker jacket.

Yellow

A bright pastel yellow will make you shine, and it looks great on tanned and darker skintones. Wear with browns or blacks, or be bold and mix in some red or green. These dresses are great for luncheons throughout SS14, and although they’re pricey, they’re totally worth it.

Orange Blush

Nude, coral or orange; whichever you choose, you’ll always look the part. From the sheer sleeveless shirt to the boucle mini and the statement earrings, there’s something for your style, that’s truly perfect for this Easter weekend. I adore those biker trousers myself, hmmm…

Mint

Mint green is definitely an SS14 pastel that’s not going away any time soon. The variety of pieces, from dresses, blazers and bags is just huge. Mix it with vibrant blues and pink to get the best out of it, or go soft with yellows and nude colours.

Happy Easter to you all, enjoy the Bank Holiday Weekend and most of all, enjoy the sun with your family & friends! Nirina xx
