On Wednesday evening I attended the Wet N Wild #IrelandsBestKeptBeautySecret The Makeup Party of the Summer event party, to celebrate the launch of their new collection, which took place in 9 Bond Street Studios. The set up inside the studios had a fantastic vibe to it; white walls with oversized balloons, coloured lights, cherry blossom trees and excellent music by their DJ Avila Lipsett who was playing a lot of Killer Fashion favourites like Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Tinashe and more! There was drinks on arrival and throughout, tasty cupcakes and even a slushie machine, as well as a fully stocked makeup counter to gawk at. It sure was the perfect throwback to the younger years from the music to those slushies, but it was also all about the beauty and I took full advantage! I attended with my best friend & blogger Filomena of Enhance What’s Yours, and caught up with many of my lovely blogger friends including Gail O’Connor of Glam Force, Nadine Stephens of The Parma Violet, Amy of Red Hair, Red Lips (like Amy’s blog design? It’s made by yours truly! Contact me if you would like a blog header designed!), Melissa of Melise Amour & the Boutique Next Door, AJ of AJ Makeup, Jessika of Chaos Wearing Lipstick, Emma Sheehan of Mastering Your Makeup and Lainey Moore of Ruby Laine Makeup. The collection itself is full of colours from their lip range to the eyeshadows and nail polishes to their packaging, it is a great way to represent a summer beauty collection. Two lovely makeup artists were also on hand at the makeup station, and the gorgeous Dawn applied my makeup. She worked on contouring, brightening my eyes and giving my brows serious depth, as well as showing me how to create a simple two-toned lip colour. The Wet N Wild makeup really is worth its value, as I got many hours out of the lip & eye makeup and the contouring gave my face some new angles I didn’t know I could have! It was an excellent event and I thoroughly enjoyed it, (though I’m not too fond of the overly pink lighting that had all our faces looking pink below). At the end of the evening, we were treated to Wet N Wild goodie bags – my gosh were they generous! In my bag I received Juicy Lip Balms in Watermelon, Cherry, Strawberry & Raspberry; Color Icon Eyeshadow Singles in Kitten, Lagoon & Envy; MegaRocks Glitter Nail Color in Always in the Pit Red, Stick It to the Man Blue & At Will Call Purple; MegaGlo Illuminating Powder; Cream Eyeshadow Pencil in #E130 Pixie; Max Volume Plus Mascara & Blackest Black Mascara; Mega Slicks Lip Gloss in #E562B Cherry Glaze, #E566 Strawberry Ice & #E569BRasp-Berry Voice; Color Icon Lipliner in #712 Willow; Color Icon Eye Liner in #E653E Cool Green & #E660A Bronzed; Color Icon Brow Pencil in #E6231 Brunettes Do It Better & #E6211 Blonde Moments; and Glassy Gloss in #313A 3, 2, 1 Glass-t Off!. Just wow!
