Makeup can be such a wonderful thing. And not only that, it can be powerful by giving us confidence before a hot date, a big meeting, talk or a presentation. Lipstick is one of my favourite products for this, with a Marilyn Monroe red being my go-to colour. But a shiny look isn’t always the look to go for, and that’s where marvelous matte lips come in! Just as gorgeous as the wet look or a satin finish, the matte lipstick is making its presence known on the red carpet and on the runway, from Taylor Swift to Rihanna, and Amber Heard to Jennifer Lawrence. Sleek MakeUP has made this look easier for us all, with their gorgeous shades in both classic lipstick and liquid lipstick styles. With pastel hues on the forefront for the Spring/Summer 2017 season, these beauties are also extremely affordable, with long-lasting pigmentation. What’s more, did you know that Sleek MakeUP is the official makeup sponsor for Britain’s Next Top Model 2017? Plenty of the models on this year’s show have sported the matte products – so what are you waiting for! I was also invited to the beauty brand’s brunch event last earlier this month (April 9), to get a sneak peek at the new additions to the Sleek MakeUP collection, so check out the event photos below too!
The Lip VIP Semi Matte Lipstick* collection has been around for a while, but now it includes these three stunning matte shades. Steal The Limelight is a light purple-hue, Name in Lights is a stronger purple-pink hue, and Ready to Rock touches base in its brown-purple neutral hue; and all are richly pigmented with a velvety finish for that matte perfect pout. So far I’ve tried out the second shade and I sure do adore it! It really has a strong colour to it that lasted hours, without drying out my lips. Available at €5.50 each
Going hand in hand with the Lip VIP collection, the Matte Me Liquid Lipstick* is quite the fun product that now also includes three new matte shades for SS17. With a smooth glide-on application, this liquid lipstick starts out creamy and matte that lasts for hours. French Fancy is a berry pink hue, Crushed Lavender is a soft lilac hue, and Apricot Blooms is a light nude orange hue; all of which are perfect for mid seasons. They won’t dry out on your lips, are highly pigmented and can be used atop your other lipsticks for a strong matte finish. Available at €4.99 each
